Link your smartphone to your ID for a wide range of functions and online services such as navigation, entertainment, and safety. You can even warm up your car remotely before you get in.

    Access online services

    VW Connect/We Connect link your ID. directly to the internet through your smartphone, providing you with access to lots of useful, free digital services.

    Effortless assistance

    Useful online services include, breakdown calls, vehicle status, battery care, parking position, (you’ll never forget where you parked again) and Over-the-Air-Updates, which ensures your ID. is always equipped with the latest software.

    Find a charge station

    Using the We Charge app, you can locate charging stations near your current location, or chose a specific location and navigate your way there. The app displays current availability by charging socket, plus additional useful information. 

Connect Plus services offer advanced connectivity, providing features like remote vehicle access, real-time information on your ID’s status, remote vehicle control as well as live traffic information and additional navigation services. Using these services requires you to sign up online to a separate VW Connect Plus or We Connect Plus contract with Volkswagen AG.

The Volkswagen app allows you to interact with and monitor your ID vehicle from your mobile device. Features include remote locking and unlocking, remote climate control setting and the ability to check your ID’s battery status remotely. The app even allows you to use your smartphone as a remote control, allowing you to park or get out of tight spaces while standing outside the car.     As a VW Connect or We Connect customer, Upgrades offers you an easy way to bring additional vehicle functions on board once you’ve purchased your ID vehicle.

    Software updates

    If your ID. received Software 3.0 via an over-the-air update, you can use We Connect start straight away. To take advantage of the many benefits of We Connect and We Connect Plus, you’ll need to register as a primary user through your infotainment system.
