ID. Sound

Being heard as well as seen

All of the models in our all-electric ID range are virtually silent. Whilst we’ve kept things quieter inside the cabin, to make driving in traffic safer, we’ve created an artificial vehicle noise called ID.Sound. The noise is projected outside the car to keep pedestrians, cyclists and other drivers safer while you’re around them. ID.Sound is activated when the vehicle is pulling away, reversing, and at speeds of up to 30km/h. At higher speeds, the rolling noise of the tyres is sufficiently loud that ID.Sound is no longer needed.
